A dark, warm black island sits in the center of the space, with enough room to seat two in the cozy atmosphere. The dark wood of the chairs and island add a touch of sophistication without taking away from the charm while also helping add further warmth to the overall design.
The textured cream backsplash evokes the rough-cut stonework and brick of traditional country homes, with a decorative rooster behind the stove. Centered above it is a custom hood built into the cabinets, creating a seamless transition from cabinets to cooking space. Mullion cabinet doors on either side of the hood showcase the homeowner’s dishes with lighting inside to keep them from becoming too dark. This design adds an open feel to the cabinets and kitchen space while offering more storage space.

A slightly distressed effect on the cabinets adds a touch of rustic, country charm, while the white color helps reflect the warm lighting in the space. Marbled tile anchors the room with a sense of warmth and creates a cozy yet elegant country kitchen look inspired by the kitchens of provincial Europe.
