After speaking with designers who could create plans but wouldn’t manage construction or guarantee outcomes, the homeowners chose Kaminskiy for a true soup-to-nuts design-build experience. Having worked with Kaminskiy before, and with both partners still working full-time, they wanted one team to handle design, materials, scheduling, and execution from start to finish.

The homeowners were ready for a change. Their cabinets were showing wear, and they wanted a completely refreshed look that felt fun and personal. At the same time, they didn’t want the stress of coordinating separate designers, contractors, and vendors, especially after learning that some designers wouldn’t manage construction or guarantee results.
They needed a professional, reliable team that could deliver a custom design while keeping the process smooth, organized, and efficient. Their goal was a kitchen remodel that felt high-end and thoughtful, without turning into a full-time project management job.
Kaminskiy delivered a true design-build remodel: one team responsible for the design, materials, schedule, and final result. With clear planning upfront and a streamlined selection process, we were able to deliver a custom cabinet color and a cohesive finish package without unnecessary delays.
The homeowners especially appreciated the “one-stop shop” experience: design, material acquisition, scheduling, payments, and execution, all handled in one coordinated process. The result is a polished, modern kitchen that feels custom, functional, and easy to live with every day.
Design Highlights & Innovations
This kitchen’s fresh, refined look is anchored by Cambria Quartz Montgomery (Polished), chosen for its durability, easy maintenance, and clean, upscale aesthetic. The surfaces keep the space bright and cohesive, while still feeling warm and livable.
The backsplash adds depth and movement with Elysium Tiles Casale Mosaic, introducing subtle texture and light reflection that elevates the kitchen without overpowering the cabinetry. Together, the quartz and mosaic create a crisp, timeless palette that complements the custom cabinet color beautifully.
Function and daily usability were key priorities, from the Blanco Grandis Silgranit sink to the Kohler Tone pull-down faucet, selected for performance and comfort at the sink. Finishing details like Top Knobs Oculus pulls reinforce the tailored look, and the redesigned storage, especially the cabinetry that reaches the ceiling, gives the homeowners more space, less clutter, and less to clean.

The Result
This kitchen now feels bright, intentional, and easy to live in, and is anchored by a one-of-a-kind cabinet color and upgraded surfaces that enhance both style and function. The biggest win for the homeowners was better storage with less to clean, including cabinetry that reaches the ceiling and a layout designed around how they actually use the space.
Just as importantly, the experience matched the outcome: a smooth, comprehensive design-build process with one team guiding every step. From design and material acquisition to scheduling and payments, the remodel was organized, predictable, and professionally executed.
